Elliott Yamin Yahoo American Idol | Event Photography

Elliott Yamin from American Idol fame dropped by the Yahoo! ( otherwise known as Y! ) Sunnyvale Campus for some serious tunes. You may remember him as a runner up from American Idol in 2006, but despite his result on the show, Elliott Yamin has seriously has vocal cords that is second to none. You have to listen to his heavenly voice and tunes to fully appreciate his talent.

Maker Faire 2009 Event Photography | San Mateo Fairgrounds

Lelan and I went to the annual Maker Faire at the San Mateo Fairgrounds in San Mateo, California. If you never went to one, you HAVE TO GO! It was filled with tons of “Do It Yourself” booths, big and small vendors and even hobbyists who like to share their innovations with other people. There were plenty of opportunities to take pictures, shoot videos and be an outside observer photographing all the little trinkets and booths that people have. If you have any kind of interests in arts, science, and crafts, this was the expo for you! It was great to see so many enthusiastic people at the Maker Faire and also the creativity and energy everyone had for green energy!

Slim’s San Francisco Event Pictures | Asian Rock Festival ’09

Slim’s in San Francisco is a great place to hold your gig, or even an AWESOMEER rock out place to host the Asian Rock Fest. Slim’s has ample space for the consumption of alcohol beverages, and even more space for concerts or rock event. Take the annual Asian Rock Fest for example: Founded in New York City in 2004, the Asian Rock Fest has been bringing together established Asian American artists from all over the US. It aims to celebrate the annual Asian Heritage Month of May in an in-your-face, louder than your parents’ soft jazz fashion.

The Asian Rock Fest broke stereotypes, barriers, and ceilings where Asians musicians are depicted as awkward dorky characters like William Hung in the mainstream media. At this festival, there were many vocalist and musicians who could sing and rock professionally. Each individual band’s tunes and beats were very contemporary with today’s taste.
